One of my very good friends, Dave, son was turning five! He asked me if I could do a dragon cake for his son's How to Train Your Dragon themed party! I was so excited to get a chance to carve a cake. This was my first time really getting into carving which was both exciting and daunting. With my best friend, Laura, by my side, I hacked away a yummy marble cake to shape and create this fierce dragon. To add detail, I took a large straw and cut it on a bias. I used it to mark scales all over the dragons body. The added fondant spikes, fondand eyes, and fondant teeth. To finish the cake, we added a character made to look like Dj, riding the dragon. This was such a fun cake to do and the children loved it!
